1915 Second Avenue
Seattle, Washington
Goodman Real Estate engaged Weber Thompson Architects, Turner Construction, and CKC to convert this 24 story tower, previously designed as condominiums, to apartments. This redesign included relocating the subterranean parking above grade, modifying the core design, and incorporating several value engineering modifications proposed by CKC and other team members. The revised design created substantial cost savings.
A dramatic architectural feature is the penthouse roof, which cantilevers over 20 feet from the enclosed portion of the penthouse. A circular opening provides a glimpse of the sky above through the large cantilevered corner.
Expected to start construction in 2012, 1915 Second Avenue will be more cost-effective and appealing in the current real estate market, as a result of the design and construction team’s efforts |
