Avenue One
Seattle, Washington
This 13-story condominium is located in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The brick, stucco and glass-clad building includes 116 residential units, 136 parking stalls, street-level retail, landscaped terraces at levels one and two, and amenities, such as a health club and storage.
The building is constructed of cast-in-place
concrete with post-tensioned floor slabs.
Seismic loads are resisted by a central
shear wall core. “Eccoduct” in-slab ducting
was used to reduce construction costs and
minimize vertical shafts.
At street level, the project includes an
art-niche structure, which displays the work
of local artists.
