Joe Ferzli is a Senior Principal at Cary Kopczynski & Company (CKC). He is a professional and structural engineer with more than twenty-two years' experience in high-rise mixed-use buildings throughout the United States and overseas.

Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the implementation of cost-effective concrete structural systems for high-rise buildings. He is an expert in the design of concrete towers in high seismic and wind regions. His representative experience includes performance-based design of high-rise buildings, concrete and hybrid lateral system analysis, high strength materials, as well as post-tensioned concrete in building applications. Additionally, Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the application of innovative concrete materials such as the first use of high-performance fiber reinforced concrete coupling beam in North America.

Mr. Ferzli is the President of the American Concrete Institute's Washington Chapter.  He is a voting member of ACI Committee 374 on performance-Based Seismic Design of Concrete Buildings, 318T Committee on post-tensioned concrete, and ASCE 7 concrete subcommittee. He was a member of the BSSC IT4 committee on investigating concrete shear walls. He was awarded two Presidents Awards for his outstanding leadership and service by the Structural Engineer Association of Washington.
