Nicolas Rodrigues, is Managing Principal at CKC in its San Francisco office. With nearly fifteen years of structural engineering experience specializing in tall and unique buildings in seismic regions, Mr. Rodrigues has designed a variety of major mixed-use projects on the West Coast. He has authored many articles in the fields of seismic design and reinforced concrete structures.

Mr. Rodrigues is regarded as an expert in the design of high-rise structures and in the design method known as Performance-Based Design (PBD). He was directly involved in the development of several PBD guideline documents most notably the one developed by the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), which is the framework used in San Francisco for seismic design of tall buildings. Mr. Rodrigues is a voting member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) which develops the building code used in high seismic areas. He chaired the Seismology Committee and its subcommittee on high-strength concrete for the Structural Engineers Association of northern California (SEAONC).
