901 Harrison is a 25-story, 264-ft apartment tower with 292 apartments, retail space, and four levels of below grade parking in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood near Amazon’s global headquarters. Rooftop amenities include a club room, game lounge and outdoor amenity deck. The building incorporates the façade of the existing two-story, landmark commercial structure built in 1927 into the podium design.

The structure is cast-in-place concrete with two-way post-tensioned slabs. Reinforced concrete shear walls resist seismic and lateral loads. The northwest corner of the structure above Level 17 tapers outward for extra square footage. To accommodate the project site’s high water table, CKC designed a floating foundation system using a uniform mat foundation and basement walls. CKC also designed a temporary shoring system to brace the façade of the existing landmark structure during construction.
