242 Milwaukee is a seven-story class A office building located in Cherry Creek North with two levels of subterranean parking, mixed-use retail space at grade level, and multiple levels with outdoor space on the north side.

The subterranean structure is comprised of a cast-in-place concrete frame surrounded by shotcrete basement walls and supported on shallow foundations. Elimination of forming up the basement walls by utilizing shotcrete sped up the subterranean construction. Implementation of car stackers allowed the number of below-grade levels to be minimized. The superstructure consists of structural steel framing and composite decks with steel braced frames for lateral resistance due to wind. To accommodate the desired retail space layout, the braced frames are discontinuous at level 2 and relocated at the ground level.
