Joe Ferzli

Senior Principal

Joe Ferzli is a Senior Principal at Cary Kopczynski & Company (CKC). He is a registered engineer with more than twenty years' experience in a wide range of high-rise multifamily projects, office buildings, and hotels  throughout the United States.

Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the effective implementation of cost effective structural systems for high-rise buildings. He is an expert in the design of high-rise towers in high seismic regions using performance-based design. Additionally, Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the implementation of innovative materials such as the first use of high-performance fiber reinforced concrete coupling beam in North America.

Mr. Ferzli is the President of the American Concrete Institute's Washington Chapter (ACI).  He is a voting member of ASCE 7 concrete subcommittee, ACI Committee 374 on Performance-Based Seismic Design of Concrete Buildings, and 318T Committee on post-tensioned concrete. He was awarded two Presidents Awards for his outstanding leadership and service by the Structural Engineer Association of Washington.
