Joe Ferzli

Senior Principal

Joe Ferzli is a Senior Principal at Cary Kopczynski & Company (CKC). He is a registered engineer with more than eighteen years of experience in a wide range of high-rise and mid-rise multifamily projects, office buildings, hotels, and parking structures throughout the United States. Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the effective implementation of cost effective concrete structural systems for high-rise buildings. He is an expert in the design of post-tensioned systems in a variety of commercial applications. His representative projects include two-way, one-way, transfer, and long-span post-tensioned design and serviceability considerations. Additionally, Mr. Ferzli has been involved in the implementation of innovative concrete materials such as the first use of high performance fiber reinforced concrete coupling beam in North America. Mr. Ferzli serves on the American Concrete Institute's Washington Chapter (ACI) Board of Directors, and is a voting member of ACI Committee 374, Performance-Based Seismic Design of Concrete Buildings. He was the chair of the Educational Committee of the Structural Engineer Association of Washington. He was awarded several Presidents Awards for his outstanding leadership and service.
