The 9th & Howell Hotel is a 30-story tower over a 6-story podium, located in downtown Seattle. The development is currently in design, and will include 475 hotel rooms, three ballrooms, meeting rooms, and ground level restaurants and retail.

The structural frame will consist of steel columns and beams located in hotel room demising walls, with a composite dovetail deck floor system spanning between beams. The floor will incorporate lightweight concrete to reduce seismic and gravity loads on the structural frame and foundation.

The lateral bracing system for wind and seismic loads will utilize Buckling Restraint Braces (BRB) located around the central core, with outrigger moment frames at strategic locations. BRB outrigger braces will also be located above the 6-story podium and at the roof.
